Bridge Replacement and Interchange Improvements

As documented in the approved TESR, construction duration is anticipated to take place over 1 year to 1.5 years. Highlights are detailed below:

• Construction start: Spring 2024

• Short-term overnight closure of Highway 401: 

  • Bridge Demolition: April 13, 2024​

  • Girder Erection: June 2024

  • Deck Panel Erection: July 2024

• Complete closure of Dorchester Road at Highway 401: April 2, 2024 - December 2024

• ​Highway 401 eastbound on/off ramp closure: July 2024 - December 2024

• Highway 401 westbound on/off ramp closure: April 2024 - December 2024​

• Targeted Overwinter Re-Opening of Highway 401 on/off ramps and Dorchester Road: December 23, 2024

• Construction resumes: Spring 2025

• Construction complete: June 2025.
