Class Environmental Assessment Process
The Highway 401 and Dorchester Road Bridge Replacement and Interchange Improvements is considered a Group 'B' undertaking under the MTO Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000), as seen in the image below. Group 'B' projects are considered as major improvements to existing transportation facilities.

As part of a Group 'B' undertaking, a Design and Construction Report (DCR) was prepared to document the Detailed Design and Class EA process, including the scope of work, potential impacts and mitigation measures. The DCR is available for a 30-day public review period which is advertised through a Notice of Completion. Following the review period, the project receives Environmental Clearance to proceed to Construction.

The DCR and Notice of Completion are available on the Project Details tab.
